Recruiting for the 2025-2026 school year.  20 hours per week, follows the school calendar once assignment begins in October.

Duties:

Child associates work under the general supervision of the primary project coordinator. Specific supervision of the Child Associate is provided by the mental health team. Child Associates provide expressive play sessions with children. These sessions are designed to establish a positive meaningful relationship to help reduce social adjustment issues. Child Associates do not provide counseling and are not expected to use sessions to directly deal with specific areas rather, they use the relationship to support children to express themselves through play.

Child Associates are expected to perform the following duties:

  • Part time position works 20 hours per week (Note: hours per week may vary depending on how hours are applied especially if using a cycle schedule).
  • Part time position runs from October through early June.
  • Maintain a minimum caseload of 12 students for every 15 hours of employment.
  • Participate in scheduled supervision sessions with the counseling team.
  • Participate in scheduled screening meetings with teachers. For the part time position this requires days prior to their official start date each year.
  • Assist in implementing screening measures and assessments related to the program.
  • Assist in managing the COMET data system.
  • Establish rapport and warm meaningful relationships with referred children.
  • Use communication skills, creative play materials, and games with individual children.
  • Talk with children and establish an atmosphere to encourage their expression of feelings and ideas.
  • Deal effectively in responding to those feelings and ideas.
  • Use active listening and other skills to listen rather than question a child.
  • Provide feedback from sessions to the project coordinator.
  • Communicate with teachers to schedule students at a non-academic time.
  • Walk students back and forth to the classroom.

Full-time, 32.5 hours per week. Student attendance days (Grades K-2).  Includes health, dental, retirement and holiday pay.

Teaching Assistant/Aide Building Substitute - CRCRSUB8-6-24

Recruiting for a day-to-day building substitute to fill-in for teacher aides or teaching assistants while they are out of the classroom.

In this job as a Paraprofessional, you may be required to complete the following tasks:

  • Lift, carry, pull up to 60 lbs.
  • Be outdoors for up to an hour year around in potentially inclement weather
  • Be on your feet and supervising consistently for up to an hour
  • Be able to run and keep up with a child
  • With training, operate a copier and complete classroom cutting and clerical tasks
  • Speak and communicate clearly with children
  • Be able to sit and get up from the floor or low seated position.
  • Be part of a P.E. class and be able to support sport activities
$17.00- 17.30 per hour

Per diem substitute teaching. Recruiting for grades K-2, special education, health/physical education and the arts.

$150.00 per day
